Nicole Dade

Nicole Dade is a screenwriter who has worked in the international film and TV industry more than 15 years as a screenwriter, script editor and development executive.

Nicole is currently writing screenplays for film and TV, including Disorderly Women, TV series supported by Screen NSW (with Sarah Walker as mentor / story consultant), and The Floating Brothel, film supported by Screen Australia’s Development Fund. Nicole is also developing two contemporary high concept TV drama series, which were shortlisted for Fremantle’s Blue Sky initiative in 2016: The Stranger (supernatural thriller) and Anomaly 3 (sci fi thriller.)

Nicole is a script editor for projects including Leah Purcell’s The Drover’s Wife, Nekromancer and Wyrmwood TV by the Roache-Turner brothers and Rabbit by Luke Shanahan. Nicole is an industry consultant and project assessor for Screen Australia, New Zealand Film Commission, Screen Tasmania, Film Victoria and Screen West.

Nicole was a development executive at Screen Australia for four years where she managed the funding and development of feature film and TV drama and multiplatform projects including The Babadook, The Dressmaker, Lion, Backtrack, Last Cab to Darwin, Jasper Jones, Berlin Syndrome, Ali's Wedding and Hounds of Love. She was the lead executive for Screen Australia’s International High End TV Drama Development Fund.
