Jenny Chamarette

Jenny Chamarette is a writer, mentor, researcher and curator/artist living in South East London, where she works from the studio at the foot of her garden. During a 15-year career working as an academic in UK universities she turned to gardening and creative writing as a means of self-discovery and recovery from long-term illness.

She has previously published widely for academic presses and journals, and her creative work is published with Litro magazine, Another Gaze, and Club des Femmes. Her creative non-fiction debut, Q is for Garden was shortlisted for the Fitzcarraldo Essay Prize 2021 and longlisted for the Nan Shepherd Prize 2021.
