Rosie Harris

Rosie is a 25 year-old, new comedy writer/director from South London and a recent graduate from Manchester University where she studied a BA in Drama & Screen Studies. Having enjoyed the invaluable experience of working and directing various Edinburgh Fringe Productions, including one of her own, Was it Good for You?, Rosie has now decided to concentrate on her comedy writing.

She was the founding member of the Efficient Women’s Writers Room which was formed out of ITV’s Comedy 50:50 scheme and one of the final ten nominees of their Funny Women Writing Award with her edgy new comedy drama series Girly Girls. Rosie is putting the finishing touches to that unique project and another comedy drama called Natalie which tackles a taboo subject matter via black humour. Her latest screenwriting project is an UNTITLED new comedy series about the inhabitants of a very strange block of flats… which should be available in Autumn 2021.

Her own comedy inspirations are Green Wing, Catastrophe, Flowers, Sisters and anything by or starring Julia Davis.
