Emma Adams

Emma’s first play was shortlisted for a Meyer-Whitworth Award. She has gone on to be Writer in Residence for the West Yorkshire Playhouse New Writing Season, attended the Royal Court Invitation Group, and selected for Accelerate – the Programme for Artistic Development, (Lowry/Jerwood Charitable Foundation). Recent commissions include work for Leeds Playhouse and Opera North.  She has been commissioned by Shiny Button to write a four-part TV drama for ITV, and is currently developing an original series for Longboat.
