Angela Slatter

Angela Slatter is the author of the urban fantasy series of novels featuring Verity Fassbinder, the third of which, Corpselight, won the Australian Shadows Award for Best Novel 2017.  Her recent novel, All the Murmuring Bones, published by Titan, got a starred review in Publishers Weekly, who said ‘In lyrical prose, Slatter evokes the decay and dread that surround her strong characters. Anyone who likes gutsy heroines, beautiful language, and well-wrought worlds won’t want to miss this.’  Her latest novel, The Path of Thorns, has been called ‘a modern classic’ and was nominated for Best Horror Novel and Best Fantasy Novel in the Aurealis Awards.  Her novella The Bone Lantern won a Shirley Jackson Award in July 2023.  Her novel The Path of Thorns won an Aurealis Award for Best Fantasy, and an Australian Shadows Award for Best Novel in October 2023.

Angela is also acclaimed for her short story collections, including The Girl with No Hands and Other Tales, Sourdough and Other Stories, The Bitterwood Bible and Other Recountings, and A Feast of Sorrows: Stories.
