Yvonne Vincent

Yvonne Vincent began her writing career with a Facebook blog called Growing Old Disgracefully.  When the UK went into lockdown, she was inspired by her blog posts and all that was going on in the world to write The Big Blue Jobbie, a humorous account of a very strange time.  It, and its sequel, gave Yvonne the confidence to write her first novel, Frock in Hell, which took readers on a journey through the midlife crisis of Katie Frock, who got on a train and disappeared.

This led to Losers Club, which became a murder mystery series featuring Penny Moon.   It was a Mumsnet Recommended Read for 2022 and has over a thousand 5-star Amazon reviews.

In Losers Club, newly divorced and needing to make a new life for herself and her teenage kids, Penny returns to her parents’ home on the storm-swept Scottish island of Vik.  Armed with her degree in nutrition, she starts a weight-loss group, only to find it’s accidentally been called the Losers Club.

When the island is cut off by a storm, Old Archie, the postman, is discovered dead.  Knowing the murderer – and one witness – must still be on the island, Losers Club rallies to solve the mystery.

Hilarious and addictive, with an authentic flavour of Scotland, there are six further books in the series to date.
