Gerald Wilson was a screenwriter and script doctor. Wilson's original screenplays include Robbery, Chato's Land, Lawman and the adapted screenplay of John Gardner's book A Complete State of Death. His films starred actors including Charles Bronson and Burt Lancaster, and he went on to lecture in screenwriting at the Guildford School of Art.
