Katie’s short film, Middle Man, won Best British Short at the Iris Prize Film Festival. This then led to her receiving a BAFTA NTA nomination. Katie’s ongoing relationship with Iris, including supporting the festival with their Education Initiatives, then as a Film Jury Judge, and Jury Chair then led to her becoming a Patron of Iris. Her most recent short film had a successful festival run; featuring Kate Dickie as its lead character. Katie has since liaised with Kate to develop a new three-part TV drama, and has also  completed an eight-part TV drama, for which she is writing the accompanying novel.
